New Kansas City hardware store to be built in suburb. Another location is on the way
Westlake Ace Hardware is building another location in the Kansas City area.
The newest store will open in Grain Valley at Northwest Woodbury Drive and South Buckner Tarsney Road.
Construction for the 15,000-square-foot location will begin this spring, with a planned opening in early 2026.
Previously, Westlake announced that it would build another location in Shawnee’s Monticello shopping center near Shawnee Mission Parkway and Kansas Highway 7. The company expects that spot to open in late 2026 or early 2025.
This week, Westlake opened its newest Olathe spot at 15066 W. 151st St. That store is a relocation of the 120 N. Clairborne because of upcoming construction of the Interstate 35 and Santa Fe corridor.
Westlake, with a 120-year history in business, currently has 31 locations in the Kansas City area.
