Kansas City-area furniture store of about a decade is closing. Major sales until last day
Fat Daddy’s Furniture is closing after about a decade of being in business.
The store at 1211 Southwest Blvd. in Kansas City, Kansas, is shutting down on Sunday, an employee told The Star.
“It is with regret that we announce the closing of Fat Daddy’s,” a banner on its website reads in part. “The last 3 years have been challenging.”
Fat Daddy’s couches, mattresses, home decor and other items are marked down as low as 50%.
The 16,000 square foot space is for lease.
Fat Daddy’s is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information on sales and pricing call 913 384-8958.

Meanwhile, Furniture Mall of Missouri is expanding, moving into an existing Macy’s space at 400 NW Barry Road, Suite 150. It expects to open at the end of the year.
