Another day, another Whataburger.

The fast-growing Texas fast-food franchise — it’s currently averaging one new restaurant per week in the U.S. — has added yet another Kansas City area location.

This one’s in Lee’s Summit: 204 S.W. Missouri 150 Highway. It opened Thursday at 11 a.m. after an equipment issue delayed its planned Monday opening.

“We want our fans in western Missouri and the greater Kansas City market to know we’re dedicated to bringing them Whataburger’s bold, fresh flavors,” said operating partner Nikole Boggus.

The restaurant will offer 24-hour service at a double-lane drive-thru as well as in the dining room, with curbside pickup and delivery available through the Whataburger app.

Whataburger opened its first Kansas City area restaurant in 2021. Many are operated by KMO Burger LLC, in which Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a partner. KMO has said it plans to open 30 Whataburgers in the region.
