Charlie Hustle, the local apparel brand specializing in Kansas City-themed clothing, will open a pop-up location March 7 in the Power & Light District.

That’s a little less than a week before a whole lot of fans will descend upon the nearby T-Mobile Center for the 2024 Big 12 Tournament, which runs March 12-16.

“Every day I see so many people proudly wearing Charlie Hustle items everywhere I go, and this pop-up store will add to both the momentum of the Power & Light District and Charlie Hustle,” said John Moncke, president of the district. “The Big 12 Basketball Tournament is a fantastic time to launch a new retail store, as we will have 300,000 visitors downtown.”

The store, at 1380 Main St., plans to host several events as part of a “12 Days of the Big 12” activation starting on March 7. That will include a pop-a-shot contest and a small basketball court that can host “team appearances and alumni events featuring former players,” according to a release.

Rally House, a sports apparel shop, remains open nearby at 181 E. 14th St.

Hours at Charlie Hustle will be Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon-6 p.m. The store will be open through the end of the summer.
