Kansas City’s decades-old d’Bronx Authentic Deli & Pizzeria has closed another location, leaving only one remaining in the Kansas City metro.

The restaurant at 6846 Johnson Drive in Mission closed permanently about 10 days ago, said Realtor John Rubenstein.

The only location remaining is at 7070 W. 105th St. in Overland Park.

Rubenstein said he’s unsure whether the owner plans to close that location as well. The remaining spot is not listed for lease or sale. D’Bronx’s owner could not be reached immediately Friday for comment.

This is the third d’Bronx location to close in as many years. Last year, d’Bronx closed its original location at 39th and Bell streets, where it had operated since 1990.

Its spot in Crown Center closed in late 2020, and Zaina Mediterranean moved in.

The locally owned restaurant sells pizza with a variety of toppings and sandwiches like its grilled Reuben and pastrami on rye. The founder’s father owned a deli in the Bronx in New York.

Rubenstein said prospective tenants have already expressed interest at the Mission location.

“We’d like to possibly see another restaurant user take advantage of the existing restaurant features,” he said.
