Nothing Bundt Cakes, a rapidly growing bakery chain, is coming to Brookside.

It will replace World’s Window, which closed in March at 332 W. 63rd St. after nearly 40 years when owners Jan and Lonnie Buerge retired.

Spokesperson Amy Good said Nothing Bundt Cakes plans a spring opening, though no firm date is set.

Nothing Bundt Cakes specializes in desserts for special occasions, selling bundt cakes of various flavors and sizes, as well as cupcake-like mini-bundt cakes called Bundtinis. It also sells party supplies and gifts. The company was founded in Las Vegas in 1997 and purchased in 2021 by an Atlanta-based private equity firm. It now has more than 500 stores in North America.

Brookside will be the ninth metro location for the chain, which already has locations in Liberty, Mission, Overland Park, Shawnee, Blue Springs, Olathe, Lee’s Summit and KC’s Northland.
