Looking for a free lunch? New Greek restaurant in Kansas City offers it on opening day

A fast-casual Greek food chain is celebrating its first restaurant in Missouri with a free lunch for all patrons.

Nick the Greek is opening Thursday at 8807 State Line Road, in the Ward Parkway Shopping Center space formerly occupied by Hurts Donut Co.

To get the free lunch, just show up Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Guests get one complimentary entree per person.

Nick the Greek was founded in California in 2014 and now has more than 50 locations. Menu items include pork belly pitas, falafel bowls, souvlakis plates and Greek salads.

This will be its second metro location; a Nick the Greek opened in Olathe last year at 14321 W. 135th St.
