There isn’t an ounce of liquor at this new bar on the southern boundary of the Westport entertainment district.

The Day & Night Cereal Bar franchise, at 4149 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 102, serves cereal bowls and shakes made with popular cereal brands, whipped cream, candy bars, Pop-Tarts bits, gummies and/or sweet drizzles.

“Who doesn’t love cereal?” said owner Tatiana Johnson, a self-described big kid.

She opened May 20 but had to quickly close after a water leak. Then when the fix took longer than expected, she used that time to add another counter. She hopes to reopen in early July.

Menu items include the Mucha Lucha (Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, whipped cream topped with churro cereal and buttery cinnamon roll sprinkle) and Liquid Gold (Peanut Butter Crunch and Lucky Charms Honey Clover, cookie butter and banana).

Johnson also has TVs, board games, PlayStation 5 and cards so customers can linger.

“I wanted them to have an experience when they came in,” she said Monday morning.

She has a degree in graphic design and photography and works as a quality technician at an area manufacturing facility.
