Eight Kansas City area nonprofit organizations shared in a total of $398,417 in health care-related grants from the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City.

The September awards, capped at $75,000 each, were selected from among 20 applications that sought more than $1.2 million. The recipients:

Jacob’s Well of Kansas City Ministries; Kansas Children’s Service League; Kansas City CARE Clinic; Lafayette County Health Department; Lee’s Summit Cares; Palestine Learning Center; Redemptorist Social Services Center; Saint Luke’s Hospital Foundation.
