South Kansas City shopping center changes hands

A 142,600-square-foot retail center in south Kansas City has been sold for $17.5 million by Retail Properties of America Inc. to Schottenstein Property Group, a shopping center owner and operator based in Columbus, Ohio.

The sale of Stateline Station, which includes Marshalls, Cost Plus World Market, Petco, Tuesday Morning and other retailers, was announced Monday by Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP, a real estate capital markets firm.

The property excludes a separately owned Super Target.

The 12-year-old center at Missouri 150 and West 135th Street joins a Schottenstein portfolio of 91 properties in 24 states. The statement said Stateline Station is 85 percent leased.
