Carstar relocates its headquarters to Leawood

Carstar Auto Body Repair Experts, which describes itself as North America’s largest network of auto repair centers, has moved to new space at 4200 W. 115th St. in Leawood.

The firm relocated its headquarters, research and training office from 8400 W. 110th St. in Overland Park and now occupies 7,500 square feet with room to expand in what’s called the Pinnacle IV building.

The move involved 59 employees in its headquarters, training, and research and development operations.

Carstar operates a network of 430 collision repair shops in 31 states and 10 provinces in Canada. The new office space will allow the firm to hold additional product training and education events for team members and store owners, according to the company.

“This move was a smart business decision, as it allows our team to serve our stores and partners more efficiently and effectively,” Carstar CEO David Byers said in a statement.

Byers said the firm expects to continue to expand its network in 2014. A Carstar representative said there are plans to add staff, but there were no details.

Cassidy Turley handled the real estate transaction. Nancy Keuhler with PMD Management oversaw the renovation. Michelle Agadonie did the interior design work.
