Hunt family joint venture to focus on Texas real estate
A joint venture that includes Kansas City-based Hunt Midwest Enterprises Inc. on Monday launched a commercial real estate development company that will focus on projects in Texas.
Hunt Southwest Real Estate Development LLC is a joint venture between Hunt Midwest and Dallas-based Unity Hunt Inc., which oversees a group of companies tied to the family of the late Lamar Hunt. Those companies include the Kansas City Chiefs and Hunt Midwest.
Hunt Southwest, which is also based in Dallas, is the second real estate development business founded by the Hunt family, The first one, Hunt Midwest, was established in 1985 and has diverse holdings that include the SubTropolis underground business complex here.
The Hunt Southwest operation will be led by Preston Herold.
