CBRE Capital Markets’ Institutional Properties said Wednesday that Kansas City-based VanTrust Real Estate has bought Two Pershing Square from TA Associates, a Boston-based investments firm.

The 11-story building, located immediately northeast of Union Station and on the new Kansas City streetcar line, changed owners for an undisclosed price.

The sale included the 520,431-square-foot building and an adjoining three-level parking garage.

Gina Anderson and Gary Carr with CBRE represented the seller. Anderson said the building attracted investment partly because of long-term leases with the U.S. General Services Administration’s Heartland Region, which has about 1,000 employees in the building.
