Brookside’s former Hallmark space filling up
The long empty James Hallmark space in Brookside is starting to fill up.
BKS Nails, which plans to open on the east side of the space in late April, will offer manicures, pedicures and waxing services.
The parent company, the locally owned Oak Nails Inc., also owns and operates a salon on the Country Club Plaza called Plaza Nails at 4636 Wyandotte St., as well as Oak Nails at 5050 Oak St., Suite C, by the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
James Hallmark Shop closed in early 2012 after 25 years of operations.
Lindy Meyer of CBRE handled the negotiations and is in talks with possible tenants for the west side of the space at 6245 Brookside Blvd., a 1,128-square-foot space.
First Washington Realty Inc., the new owners of Brookside, also plan to open an office at 6245 Brookside Blvd., Suite 205.
