Einstein Bros. Bagels opening next week in Prairie Village

Einstein Bros. Bagels plans to reopen in Prairie Village’s The Village next week.

The fast-casual restaurant closed in late 2011 to make way for a new restaurant and movie theater operation called Standees - The Entertaining Eatery. Standees took the Einstein spot at 3939 W. 69th Terrace, and part of the former Macy's home store.

After Starbucks and Dolce Bakery relocated in the center, Einstein took over the spaces. It plans to open at 6970 Mission Road on Wednesday.

The first 300 customers will get a key chain tag that will be good for a daily free small cup of coffee with a purchase for a month. Special promotions also will run from Aug. 11 to Aug. 16.

Einstein offers a variety of fresh-baked bagels and toppings, signature sandwiches and panini, soups, salads and desserts.

Hours for the new Prairie Village shop will be 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
