Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que on Yelp’s top 100 places to eat

Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que is on Yelp’s new “Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. for 2015.”

Yelp, a website and mobile app that connects people to “great local businesses,” said one of the main questions it receives is “Where should I eat?”

To compile the new list, its data science team analyzed which places were the most popular and well reviewed over the course of 2014. Its inaugural list in 2014 looked at reviews over 10 years.

Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que, Kansas City, Kan., is No. 25 on the list.

Yelp’s listing for Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que carried over all the reviews it had when it was Oklahoma Joe's Barbecue. The three area locations — in Kansas City, Kan., Leawood and Olathe — changed their name to Joe’s Kansas City in November 2014. The barbecue was No. 3 on Yelp’s 2014 list under Oklahoma Joe’s Barbecue.

Copper Top BBQ, Big Pine, Calif., was No. 1 on the list. Bogart’s Smokehouse in St. Louis was No. 34 and Blues City Deli in St. Louis was No. 74.
