Kansas, Kansas City restaurant health inspections for April 27

Here are area restaurants and grocery stores with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for 7 or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):

▪ Hy-Vee, 13550 W. 63rd St., Shawnee, had 11 priority violations during an April 19 routine inspection.

▪ BRGR Kitchen + Bar, 4038 W. 83rd St., Prairie Village, had 10 priority violations during an April 6 inspection following a complaint. It had no priority violations during an April 19 follow-up inspection.

▪ Fortune Wok, 11236 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had 9 priority violations during an April 7 follow-up inspection.

▪ Fuel Expresso 3, 23000 W. 83rd St., Shawnee, had 9 priority violations during an April 18 inspection following a complaint.

▪ In & Out, 5531 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kan., had 9 priority violations during an April 19 routine inspection.

▪ Becky’s Brats, mobile kitchen, Kansas City, Kan., had 8 priority violations during an April 16 routine inspection.

▪ Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, 12101 S. Strang Line Road, Olathe, had 8 priority violations during an April 4 routine inspection. It had 2 priority violations during an April 20 follow-up inspection.

▪ Downtown Diner, 409 E. Santa Fe, Olathe, had 8 priority violations during an April 7 routine inspection. It had 3 priority violations during an April 19 follow-up inspection.

▪ Drunken Fish Sushi Restaurant & Lounge, 4331 W. 119th St., Leawood, had 8 priority violations during an April 4 routine inspection. It had 3 priority violations during an April 19 follow-up inspection.

▪ Grinders Stonewall, 10240 Pflumm Road, Lenexa, had 7 priority violations during an April 18 follow-up inspection.

▪ Big Daddy’s Chicken & Fish, 1900 Independence Ave., had 7 critical violations during an April 11 preoperational inspection.

▪ El Mercado Fresco, deli, 5117 Independence Ave., had 7 critical violations during an April 15 routine inspection.
