Kansas, Kansas City restaurant health inspections for April 6

Here are area restaurants and grocery stores with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with some highlighted links to the original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for 7 or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):

▪ Novedades El Guero and Carniceria, 826 S. Harrison, Olathe, had 14 priority violations during a March 22 routine inspection.

▪ Fortune Wok, 11236 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had 11 priority violations during a March 24 routine inspection.

▪ Price Chopper, 3700 W. 95th St., Leawood, had 11 priority violations during a March 23 routine inspection.

▪ Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, 777 Hollywood Casino Blvd., Kansas City, Kan., had 10 priority violations during a March 23 routine inspection.

▪ Dave & Busters, 1843 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan., had 10 priority violations during a March 22 routine inspection.

▪ Sabor Y Sol, 542 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, Kan., had 9 priority violations during a March 28 follow-up inspection.

▪ Gordon Biersch, Park Place, 11652 Ash St., Leawood, had 8 priority violations during a March 28 routine inspection.

▪ KFC, 7517 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan., had 8 priority violations during a Feb. 29 inspection following a complaint.

▪ Casa Ana, 2034 E. Santa Fe, Olathe, had 7 priority violations during a March 23 follow-up inspection.

▪ Happy Foods, 5420 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kan., had 7 priority violations during a March 24 routine inspection.

▪ Martita’s Place Mexican Restaurant, 4960 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan., had 7 priority violations during a March 24 follow-up inspection.

▪ Red Door Woodfire Kitchen & Bar, 11851 Roe Ave., Leawood, had 7 priority violations during a March 24 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:

▪ Los Tres Hermanos, deli, 3430 Independence Ave., had 10 critical violations during a March 15 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 21 follow-up inspection.

▪ The Draft Pick Sports Bar & Grill, 240 N.E. Barry Road, had 7 critical violations during a March 10 routine inspection. It had 2 critical violations during a March 14 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a March 18 follow-up inspection.

▪ Los Corrals, 408 W. Ninth St., had 7 critical violations during a March 9 routine inspection. It had 3 critical violations during a March 14 follow-up inspection, 1 critical violation during a March 21 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a March 30 follow-up inspection.

▪ Macaluso’s Thriftway, 5004 N.E. Parvin Road, had 7 critical violations during a March 12 routine inspection. It had 1 critical violation during a March 17 follow-up inspection.

▪ The Majestic Restaurant, 931 Broadway, had 7 critical violations during a March 14 routine inspection. It had 2 critical violations during a March 21 follow-up inspection, 1 critical violation during a March 28 follow-up inspection, and no critical violations during an April 4 follow-up inspection.
