Cinder Block Brewery, Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar team up on new oyster stout

Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is teaming up with Cinder Block Brewery on a new limited edition oyster stout.

The Emersum Oyster Stout will be on tap starting Monday at Jax, 4814 Roanoke Parkway, just west of the Country Club Plaza, and at the Cinder Block Brewery tasting room at 110 E. 18th Ave. in North Kansas City, through February.

The stout is brewed with Jax’s proprietary Emersum Oysters, which add a “natural minerality and create a smooth viscosity to the beer,” the company said.

Jax’s Oyster Month offerings also will include weekly food and drink specials, as well as an oyster eating competition on Feb. 27 with a grand prize of $1,000 cash.
