T. Loft cafe coming to Lawrence
T. Loft is coming to Lawrence.
The locally-owned cafes focus on fresh and healthy grab-and-go snacks and meals. The menu includes more than 30 blends of teas (served hot or cold), fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies and juices, fresh salads, and apple nachos.
It plans an early July opening at 4801 Bauer Farm Drive (at the high traffic intersection of Wakarusa Drive and West 6th Street). It will have 8 to 10 employees.
Jill Minton, who founded the two area cafes with her husband Brandon, has Celiac disease, as does her daughter, father and sister. So the family became focused on a healthier lifestyle that included eating healthy items and drinking tea and juice.
The Mintons opened their first T. Loft at 8025 State Line Road in April 2013 and added a Leawood location, at 5225 W. 116th Place in Park Place, in February.
The Lawrence shop will be owned by Jill’s mother, Marybeth Mermis, and her sister, Lisa Green. Hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
