Kansas, Kansas City restaurant health inspections for Jan. 20
Here are area restaurants and grocery stores with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to the original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
The Kansas Department of Agriculture has been transitioning to new inspection software since early August 2015 and direct links to Kansas inspections are not available at this time.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

▪ Yard House, 1863 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan., had 13 priority violations during a Jan. 13 routine inspection.
▪ Pizza Stop, 7541 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kan., had 9 priority violations during a Jan. 7 routine inspection.
▪ Chiusano’s Brick Oven Pizzeria, 1713 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan., had 8 priority violations during a Jan. 13 routine inspection.
▪ 54th Street Grill & Bar, 14750 S. Harrison, Olathe, had 7 priority violations during a Jan. 12 inspection following a complaint.
▪ Joy Wok, 11920 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 7 priority violations during a Jan. 12 follow-up inspection.
▪ Price Chopper, 7201 W. 151st St., Overland Park, had 7 priority violations during a Jan. 13 routine inspection.
▪ Wyandot BBQ, 8441 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan., had 7 priority violations during a Jan. 12 routine inspection.

▪ Kim Long Asian Market & Restaurant, 511 Cherry St., had 9 critical violations during a Dec. 16 routine inspection. It had 1 critical violation during a Dec. 24 follow-up inspection.
▪ Chinatown Food Market, 202 Grand Blvd., had 8 priority violations during a Dec. 18 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Dec. 29 follow-up inspection.
▪ Lucky Boys, 1615 Genessee, had 8 critical violations during a Dec. 18 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Dec. 29 follow-up inspection.
▪ Beer Kitchen, 435 Westport Road, had 7 critical violations during a Dec. 16 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Dec. 22 follow-up inspection.
▪ Caddy Shack Pub, 700 E. Third St., had 7 priority violations during a Dec. 18 routine inspection. It had 2 critical violations during a Dec. 29 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a Jan. 8 follow-up inspection.
▪ Jerry’s Cafe, 1209 W. 103rd St., had 7 priority violations during a Dec. 22 routine inspection. It had 3 critical violations during a Dec. 31 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a Jan. 12 follow-up inspection.
▪ Judges Pizza Bar and Grill, 5171 N.E. Chouteau Trafficway, had 7 critical violations during a Dec. 10 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Dec. 15 follow-up inspection.
▪ Matchbox Bar & Grill, 2934 Southwest Blvd., had 7 critical violations during a Dec. 15 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Jan. 12 follow-up inspection.
▪ Metro Thriftway, 1616 E. E 63rd St., had 7 critical violations during a Dec. 9 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Dec. 14 follow-up inspection, 6 critical violations during a Dec. 6 follow-up inspection, 1 critical violation during a Jan. 6 follow-up inspection and 1 critical violation during a Jan. 14 follow-up inspection.
▪ The Original Wing Busters & More, 1128 Oak St., had 7 critical violations during a Dec. 14 routine inspection. It had 7 critical violations during a Dec. 18 follow-up inspection, 1 critical violation during a Dec. 22 follow-up inspection, 1 critical violation during a Dec. 29 follow-up inspection and 1 critical violation during a Jan. 4 follow-up inspection.
