After nearly seven years of operations, Garozzo's Ristorante is closing in Olathe.

The lease was up for the location, at 13505 S. Mur-Len Road, and Garozzo’s decided not to renew it.

“The simple answer is we weren’t breaking any records out there,” said owner Michael Garozzo. “But our catering operation has grown leaps and bounds so we are really focusing on that.”

The restaurant is scheduled to close Sunday. Its 20 employees have been offered positions at the other Garozzo’s restaurants in Overland Park, Kansas City and Lee’s Summit.

The Sunday night live jazz events, which started earlier this year at the Olathe restaurant, will be held at the Overland Park restaurant.
