Northland Spin pizza plans Dec. 29 opening
Spin Neapolitan Pizza plans to open in The Village at Burlington Creek on Dec. 29. The location, at 6100 N.W. 63rd Terrace, is just west of Interstate 29.
The first 64 customers in line for the opening will get a free Mini Mia pizza and salad. There also will be daily “Pizza for a Year” winners — a free pizza every month — for the first seven days of operations.
Spin took over a 3,862-square-foot space that formerly housed All Star Pizza & Pub, which opened in mid-2009.
The new Spin seats 54 people in the bar, 86 in the dining room and 30 on the patio.
Gail Lozoff, a partner in Spin, said the location was a “nice hub” in the Northland with good traffic access and good parking. It also is near a new Sprouts Farmers Market.
Spin was founded in Overland Park in 2005 and the new Northland location will be its 10th in the metro. It also is expanding in several other states with corporate and franchised locations.
James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Smith collaborated on the menu, which includes hand-spun, stone-fired pizzas, fresh salads topped with made-from-scratch dressings, house-made soups, signature panini and Italian deli sandwiches, appetizers, small plates, all-natural gelato ice creams, premium wines, a selection of craft beers, barrel wines and house-made white, red and blood orange sangrias.
Spin also has area locations in Crown Center, south of the Country Club Plaza, in Lee’s Summit, Lenexa, Olathe, Prairie Village, Warrensburg and two in Overland Park.
