Sam’s Club opening ‘hiring and membership’ center for its new Northland store
A new Northland Sam’s Club is scheduled to open this summer near Liberty.
It has already hired 50 employees but needs 135 more. So on Thursday it will open a “hiring and membership center” at 913 W. Liberty Drive, Liberty.
The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Positions still available include cashiers, cart pushers, cake decorators, tire technicians and overnight stockers. Through its Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, Sam’s Club also is looking for qualified veterans who have been honorably discharged within the last 12 months.
Area residents and businesses also will be able to apply for Sam’s Club memberships and receive a gift certificate.
B.J. McAllister has been hired as the new club manager for the 137,428-square-foot store at 8130 N. Church Road (on the border of Liberty).
