California’s Pizza Studio to enter the market with a KCK restaurant
The first area Pizza Studio plans to open early this summer in Kansas City, Kan.
PS Midwest Development LLC said it is taking a space in the Legends Outlets Kansas City, 1843 Village West Parkway, Q103. The franchisee plans to open at least 20 Pizza Studio restaurants in Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas, including six or seven in the Kansas City metro.
Officials with the Legends Outlets couldn’t be reached for comment.
Kansas City-based company, BRICK Restaurant Group Inc., is the parent company for PS Midwest Development, as well as for FB Midwest Development LLC. FB Midwest Development owns and operates four metro Freebirds World Burrito locations, as well as three more in the region, and it plans to open 20 more Freebirds in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
Pizza Studio, a fast-casual restaurant chain based in Los Angeles, is a similar concept to Freebirds.
Customers can select customized ingredients at the counter. They get their order served quickly thanks to a 2-minute firing time for the pizzas.
The menu includes custom pizzas and specialty pizzas like the Margherita (tomato blend sauce, basil, Roma tomatoes, freshly grated mozzarella and garlic oil) and the White (rosemary herb crust, extra virgin olive oil, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, Kalamata olives, freshly grated mozzarella and arugula).
The BRICK in BRICK Restaurant Group stands for the partners in the business, Bryce Katz and his father, Richard Katz.
