Westport’s new champagne bar opens today
A new Westport bar will specialize in champagne cocktails and boutique wines from France, Italy, Spain and the United States.
But it isn’t too highbrow. That champagne of beers, Miller High Life, also will be on tap.
Ça Va plans to softly open at 5 p.m. today at 4149 Pennsylvania Ave., on the southern edge of Westport.
The partners in Ça Va (pronounced sah vah) are Howard Hanna, the executive chef and co-owner The Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange in the Crossroads Arts District; Justin Norcross, who also will be the general manager of Ça Va; and Jim Coley, wine director of Gomer's Fine Wines and Spirits in midtown.
Ça Va also will have a full bar, along with items like caviar and marinated olives.
The decor features floors made of 100-year-old wood, exposed brick walls and tin ceilings with a grapevine motif. An outdoor patio is planned for this spring.
