Blanc Burgers + Bottles returns to Westport

Blanc Burgers + Bottles plans to reopen in Westport next week.

Aaron Mulder, corporate executive chef for Circle Restaurant Group, parent company of Blanc, said the new restaurant is scheduled to open at 11 a.m. Monday.

Blanc’s local owners jumped on the new “better burger” trend in 2008, opening a small restaurant and bar at 419 Westport Road.

With a menu of gourmet burgers, salads, housemade condiments, and a wide variety of bottled beers and sodas, it was an immediate hit with a capacity crowd on many nights. So it soon picked up and moved to a 5,350-square-foot location on the Country Club Plaza.

But just four years after opening on the Plaza, Blanc closed earlier this year.

Now it has relocated to 4120 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 6, another small Westport space.

Mulder said he may later add new items to the late night menu and perhaps brunch items on Saturday and Sunday.
