Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).
▪ Fresh Market, 6700 Kaw Drive, Kansas City, Kansas, had 16 priority violations during a Dec. 21 routine inspection.
▪ Jose Pepper’s Border Grill & Cantina, 13770 S. Blackbob Road, Olathe, had 10 priority violations during a Dec. 29 inspection following a complaint.
.▪ El Pulgarcito Salvadorean Restaurant, 5921 Merriam Drive, Merriam, had eight priority violations during a Dec. 21 inspection following a complaint.
▪ Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, 2816 W. 47th Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during a Dec. 20 routine inspection.
▪ Bawarchi Biryanis, 7284 W. 121st St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Dec. 28 follow-up inspection.
▪ China Rose, 9536 Antioch Road, Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Dec. 21 inspection following a complaint.
