This frozen custard & burger chain is about to open its 18th spot in Kansas City area
Wichita-based Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is opening a new Kansas City location.
The restaurant, at 13628 Washington St., is scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100% ground beef, all-beef hot dogs, shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
The 3,581-square-foot freestanding restaurant will seat 94 people. It also will have a patio and drive-thru. Mobile ordering through the Freddy’s app and website will be available.
Hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays; and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Hardees had operated in the building, opening in 2006.
Freddy’s has more than 440 locations in 36 states. The new location will be its 18th in the Kansas City area.
A company spokeswoman said it is, “actively looking for additional sites in the KC area, but we currently don’t have any other confirmed locations in our construction pipeline.”
It was founded in Wichita in 2002.
