Kansas City area restaurant inspections: Taco Republic, Toro Sushi, Marsh’s Sun Fresh

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

▪ Taco Republic, Corinth Square, 4100 W. 83rd St., Prairie Village, had 11 priority violations during an Oct. 24 inspection following a complaint.

▪ Toro Sushi Hibachi & Asian, 9058 A Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during an Oct. 20 routine inspection.

▪ Marsh’s Sun Fresh Market, deli/salad bar/sushi bar, Westport, 4001 Mill St., had had eight critical violations during an Oct. 19 routine inspection.
