Kansas City area restaurant inspections: Lilly’s Cantina, Edge of Hell, Joy Wok, more
Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical health code violations:
▪ Lilly’s Cantina, 3711 Southwest Trafficway, had nine critical violations during an Oct. 14 routine inspection.
▪ The Edge of Hell, restaurant/deli, 1300 W. 12th St., had eight critical violations during an Oct. 14 routine inspection.
▪ Boulevard Grill Sports Complex, Best Western Premier Sports Complex, 4011 Blue Ridge Cutoff, had seven critical violations during an Oct. 10 routine inspection.
▪ Joy Wok Super Buffet Hibachi Sushi, 8320 N. Church Road, had seven critical violations during an Oct. 10 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during an Oct. 17 follow-up inspection.
▪ KC’s Hamburger Express, Midtown Market, 3967 Main St., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 11 routine inspection. It had three critical violations during an Oct. 14 follow-up inspection.

▪ Tacos El Sobrino, 3139 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had 10 priority violations during an Oct. 12 routine inspection.
▪ Murf’s Grille, 3115 W. Sixth St., Lawrence, had seven priority violations during an Oct. 13 routine inspection.
