A one-time West Side carriage house, later an auto repair shop, will get new life as a coffee shop and bar.

Cosmo Ltd. is the holding company for the yet-to-be-named venue at 709 W. 17th St. It will be a collaboration between Colorado and local investors.

Noah Manos with Cosmo hopes it will help tie the West Side’s 17th Street commercial corridor to the Crossroads. He also is a principal with Paper Airplane, a Denver-based firm which will design the 1,200-square-foot venue. It is scheduled to open in 2023.

Blue Bird Bistro, The Westside Local, Chez Elle Creperie and Coffeehouse, Los Alamos Cocina and other businesses operate near the Cosmo spot.
