You chose your 2 favorite Kansas City barbecue spots. Now vote for the No. 1 best
Like so much pulled pork, Kansas City barbecue lovers are torn apart.
Nearly 2,000 of you voted in the Flavorful 4 round of our Barbecue Bracket to come up with the two finalists — Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue and Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que.
But here’s the rub: They each received the exact same number of votes, 575 each. Which means our final round, the Tasty 2, will be, shall we say, spicy.
But first, let’s recap: Last month we asked you to nominate your favorite barbecue restaurants, and we heard from plenty of you, drooling over the “fantastic,” “amazing,” “best anywhere” meat, sauce and sides.
We gathered the 16 restaurants that pulled in the most nominations from readers and cooked up this bracket.
Week by week, we’re narrowing it down. This past round, stalwarts Q39 and Slap’s BBQ were knocked out of contention.
We have now arrived at the Tasty 2 round.
You have until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, to vote for your favorite spot. And then we’ll announce The Winner.
