Build your own poke and ramen bowls at Asian restaurant coming to Legends Outlets

Locally owned QZ Poke Ramen is coming to the Legends Outlets Kansas City.

Customers will be able to build their own ramen bowls for $14.50 with a choice of wavy ramen or rice noodles (gluten-free), a protein (chicken, beef, vegetable, pork belly, kimchi or shrimp), spice level (from none to very hot) and extras such as an egg or broth.

They also can create their own poke bowls with a base (brown rice, mixed greens or sushi rice), protein (including salmon, spicy tuna, crab salad, tofu, chicken or shrimp), mix-ins (such as avocado, broccoli, cream cheese, kale, jalapeno and seaweed salad), sauce and toppings. The poke bowls will be $12.75 for two-protein medium bowls and $16.25 for three-protein large bowls.

Appetizers will include crab Rangoon, tempura shrimp, spicy crab salad, pork dumplings, scallion pancakes, barbecue pork buns and tuna tartare.

It plans to open around Mother’s Day on May 8, at 1813 Village West Parkway, Suite Q-103, in Kansas City, Kansas. Pizza Studio formerly operated in the space but closed during the pandemic.

QZ Poke Ramen’s owner, Feng Zheng, had a similar business in Arizona before moving to the metro a decade ago. He has worked for other area Asian restaurants since then. He liked the Legends Outlets for the strong tourist and residential traffic.

▪ Petland will open at 1803 Village West Pkwy, Suite M-137, and Your Pets Vet at 1837 Village West Parkway, Suite B-101, later this year.
