A night of food, drink, retail, spa specials: Once a month in Kansas City’s Westport

Westport businesses are banning together in a new promotion called “Westport Wednesdays.”

On the last Wednesday of the month the participating operations will offer specials on food, drinks and services. The events will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. starting this Wednesday through October.

“Coming out of the pandemic, we want to remind people we are an option,” said James Westphal, a managing partner with Culinary Virtue, which has Beer Kitchen, Char Bar Smoked Meats & Amusements, Mickey’s Hideaway and Port Fonda. “It doesn’t have to be a four hour experience. Come have some fun, shop, a bite to eat, and a drink.”

Specials for this week’s event:

Restaurants and bars

▪ Atomic Cowboy: $6 for a two-topping pizza with a draft beer.

▪ Beer Kitchen: 50% off salted watermelon margaritas.

▪ Char Bar Smoked Meats & Amusements: 50% off salted watermelon margaritas.

▪ Fat Sully’s pizza: $6 for a two-topping pizza with a draft beer.

▪ Gambal’s Social Club: Debuting several new vegan options.

▪ Gocha 2: 20% off all drinks.

▪ Guy’s Deli & Pizza: $2 off all deli sandwiches.

▪ Harpo’s: $8.95 for a burger and fries, $4 select Boulevard Brewing Co. products, $3 tequila shots.

▪ Harry’s Bar & Tables: Half-price on select glasses of wine and select whiskey cocktails.

▪ Julep: 25% off all whiskeys.

▪ Kelly’s Westport Inn: Meat Bingo from 6 to 9 p.m. Free to play. Meat from Broadway Butcher Shop.

▪ Mickey’s Hideaway: Half-price salted watermelon margaritas.

▪ Offkey Karaoke Lounge & Suites: 40% off all karaoke room rentals and “calls” for all patrons participating from 5 to 10 p.m.

▪ Port Fonda: Half-priced salted watermelon margaritas.

▪ Providence Pizzeria Co.: $1 shareable carafe of house wine with the purchase of a large New York, Sicilian, or Detroit pizza. Dine-in only.

▪ Westport Ale House: “Walking Taco” special ($8 for nacho cheese over Doritos Cool Ranch flavored tortilla chips topped with beef, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes and sour cream).
