Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).
▪ Cafe Provence, The Shops of Prairie Village, 3936 W. 69th Terrace, Prairie Village, had 20 priority violations during an April 14 joint inspection.
▪ El Potro Mexican Cafe & Cantina, 13035 Canaan Drive, Bonner Springs, had 15 priority violations during an April 18 joint inspection.
▪ China Town Super Buffet, 151 S. 18th St., Suite W, Kansas City, Kansas, had 11 priority violations during an April 18 routine inspection.
▪ Molcajete’s Tacos & Tequila, 941 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, had nine priority violations during an April 14 first operational inspection after licensing.
▪ Stop & Shop, 6433 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during an April 18 routine inspection.
▪ Red Balloon Bar & Grill, 10325 W. 75th St., Shawnee, had seven priority violations during an April 14 routine inspection.

▪ Hong’s Buffet & Mongolian Grill, 6151 N.W. Barry Road, had 10 critical violations during an April 15 routine inspection.
▪ Cacao Restaurante, (website says it is changing the name to Taco Cacao Taqueria but the owners couldn’t be reached for comment), 1046 W. 103rd St., had eight critical violations during an April 15 routine inspection.
