Kansas City area health code violations: Jumpin’ Catfish, Story, Moti Mahal, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Manhattan Bar & Grill, 812 S. 12th St., Kansas City, Kansas, had 15 priority violations during a March 3 routine inspection.

Paleterias Tropicana, Prescott Plaza, 151 S. 18th St., Suite N, Kansas City, Kansas, had 14 priority violations during a March 2 routine inspection.

The Junction on Santa Fe, 12804 Santa Fe Trail Drive, Lenexa, had 13 priority violations during a March 3 routine inspection.

Jumpin’ Catfish, 1861 S. Ridgeview Road, Olathe, had 12 priority violations during a March 3 inspection following a complaint.

Story, The Shops of Prairie Village, 3931 W. 69th Terrace, Prairie Village, had nine priority violations during a March 2 routine inspection.

IHOP, 9099 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a March 1 inspection following a complaint.

Stroud’s, 8301 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a March 1 routine inspection.

Asian Buffet, 511 N.W. Barry Road, had nine critical violations during a March 1 routine inspection.

Moti Mahal Authentic Indian Cuisine, Westport, 4113 Pennsylvania Ave., had nine critical violations during a March 3 routine inspection.

Parkview Healthcare, 128 N. Hardesty Ave., had eight critical violations during a March 5 routine inspection.

Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant, 6318 Brookside Plaza, had seven critical violations during a Feb. 26 routine inspection.
