Kansas City area health code violations: Hy-Vee, Red Wok Restaurant, Pho Sai Gon, more



Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Hy-Vee, 13400 W. 87th St., Lenexa, had 23 priority violations during an Oct. 5 routine inspection.

Pho Sai Gon, 14861 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during an Oct. 6 routine inspection.

IHOP, 20014 W. 153rd St., Olathe, had nine priority violations during an Oct. 7 routine inspection.

Tous les Jours, 10348 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during an Oct. 11 routine inspection.

Cosentino’s Price Chopper, 22210 W. 66th St., Shawnee, had seven priority violations during an Oct. 7 routine inspection.

The Peanut on Santa Fe, 7938 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, had seven priority violations during an Oct. 5 inspection following a complaint.

Red Wok Restaurant, 9322 N. Oak Trafficway, had 11 critical violations during an Oct. 6 routine inspection.

Meshuggah Bagels, 1208 W. 39th St., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 6 routine inspection.

The Phoenix, 302 W. Eighth St., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 9 routine inspection.

Steak’M Take’M, 7702 Troost Ave., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 7 routine inspection.
