At Kansas City Chiefs games, Arrowhead serving $16.50 cocktail, new burgers, more BBQ
Aramark, the food and beverage partner of 10 NFL teams including the Kansas City Chiefs, has announced some new offerings, as well as expanded favorites (think barbecue nachos) for Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the season opener Sunday.
Here’s what to expect:
▪ Red Zone signature cocktail with gin, lemonade and red passion fruit, served in a souvenir cup (one pint). Cost: $16.50.
▪ Burger Kitchen will have single and double burgers, a barbecue smokehouse burger, chicken tenders, fries, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and the Impossible burger. Section 16.
.▪ John Dough Pizza Co. will offer three personal size pies in cheese, pepperoni or white pizza. Customers can visit a finishing station to self-customize their order. Section 115. Cost: $12.
Returning menu items will include Mac Shack’s burnt end macaroni and cheese with crispy onion rings in sections 103, 117, 127, 312, 325 and 334. Cost: $14.
It is Plowboys Barbeque’s fifth season at Arrowhead. It will have its popular barbecue nachos for $14, along with pulled pork sandwiches, chopped brisket sandwiches, and seasoned fries.
“Simple, made to move fast, what people want,” said Todd Johns, founder and chief pitmaster. “We went from having two stands last year to four stands this year. We anticipate doing approximately 1,000 nachos a game.”
Arrowhead Stadium will have various self-order kiosk locations. They use Mashgin technology: AI-powered self-checkout devices that visually identify food and beverage items and ring them up in a single transaction, no barcodes or scanning needed.
Vending machines will be cashless, and mobile ordering will expand to six stands.
