Kansas City area health code violations: Plaza Winstead’s, Sweet Combforts, Wingman
Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical health code violations:
▪ Sweet Combforts & Wingman Kitchen KC, 4117 Pennsylvania Ave., had 15 critical violations during an Aug. 14 routine inspection. It had 10 critical violations during an Aug. 19 follow-up inspection.
▪ Winstead’s, Country Club Plaza area, 101 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., had 10 critical violations during an Aug. 19 routine inspection.
▪ New Peking Chinese Restaurant, 540 Westport Road, had nine critical violations during an Aug. 16 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during an Aug. 23 follow-up inspection.

▪ Superstore, 13815 Polfer Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had 13 priority violations during an Aug. 17 routine inspection.
▪ Burritos La Chiquita, 1328 C Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during an Aug. 23 routine inspection.
▪ Nana’s Kitchen, 7355 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during an Aug. 22 routine inspection.
