Kansas City’s iconic The Peanut is bringing its wings, BLTs to another area location

The Peanut is expanding again with a new restaurant in south Kansas City.

Licensee Peanut Midwest is taking a space at 12921 State Line Road. After a major remodeling it plans a fall opening. It will be the sixth area location for the company.

It also has locations in Mission, the Northland, Olathe and Overland Park.

Melinda Kenny has owned the original location at 5000 Main St. since 1981, but it dates to 1933. She also owns the downtown restaurant.
