Multiple health code violations: El Pulgarcito, Hen House in JoCo, Kobi-Q in KC, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

El Pulgarcito Salvadorean Restaurant, 5921 Merriam Drive, Merriam, had 12 priority violations during a March 24 inspection following a complaint.

El Potro Mexican Cafe & Cantina, 13035 Canaan Drive, Bonner Springs, had 10 priority violations during a March 24 routine inspection.

Hen House Market, Camelot Court, 11721 Roe Ave., Leawood, had 10 priority violations during a March 24 inspection following a complaint.

In and Out Mart, 5940 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during a March 23 routine inspection.

Tea Garden, 12755 Mur-Len Road, Olathe, had eight priority violations during a March 25 routine inspection.

Las Gorditas, 844 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a March 29 routine inspection.

Kobi-Q, Crossroads, 1531 Grand Blvd., had 11 critical violations during a March 23 routine inspection. It had two critical violations during a March 30 follow-up inspection.

Sweet Siam, Westport, 4130 Pennsylvania Ave., had 10 critical violations during a March 24 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 30 follow-up inspection.

Opera House Coffee and Food Emporium, River Market, 500 Walnut St., had seven critical violations during a March 22 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 30 follow-up inspection.
