Taiwanese-style bubble tea chain has JoCo outlet. Now it’s coming to Westport

The Overland Park franchisee for Kung Fu Tea is now opening a shop in Westport.

Daewun Sin plans a late October opening at 827 Westport Road, across from Sonic Drive-In.

The shop will serve a variety of bubble teas — black, green, honey, winter melon and more. It also will have milk teas (fresh brewed teas with milk powder in such flavors as coffee or rose hip), punch (tea with fresh-squeezed lemonade and fruit flavors), Milk Strikes (tea with Lactaid) and espressos.

Seasonal drinks will include strawberry or mango cream, brown sugar ginger and pumpkin spice lattes, slush and coffee.

The Overland Park shop opened in Rosana Square shopping center, 7504 W. 119th St., in early 2018. The chain is based in New York.
