Multiple health code violations for Brookside, Lawrence, south Kansas City restaurants
Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:
▪ Red Snapper, 8430 Ward Parkway, had nine critical violations during an Aug. 12 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during an Aug. 18 follow-up inspection.
▪ Aixois, 251 E. 55th St., had eight critical violations during an Aug. 13 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during an Aug. 21 follow-up inspection.
▪ Brookside Barrio Mexican Kitchen + Bar, 6227 Brookside Plaza, had seven critical violations during an Aug. 18 routine inspection.
▪ KFC, 3014 Independence Ave., had seven critical violations during an Aug. 25 routine inspection. It had one critical violation during an Aug. 31 follow-up inspection.

▪ El Mercado Fresco, 2102 Metropolitan Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had 15 priority violations during an Aug. 24 first operational inspection after licensing.
▪ Dillons, 3000 W. Sixth St., Lawrence, had nine priority violations during an Aug. 26 routine inspection.
▪ El Camaroncito, 1022 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during an Aug. 10 follow-up inspection.
▪ Shop N Go, 5531 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a Aug. 26 routine inspection.
▪ Bayleaf Indian Restaurant & Bar, 947 New Hampshire St., Lawrence, had eight priority violations during an Aug. 25 routine inspection.
▪ DQ Grill & Chill, 2545 Iowa St., Lawrence, had seven priority violations during an Aug. 27 routine inspection.
