Need help celebrating July Fourth? KC restaurants offering shrimp boils, steak kits
Traditional Independence Day celebrations will be impacted by restaurants reopening in phases and consumers hesitant about attending public events due to COVID-19, according to a new survey by the National Retail Federation.
Three-quarters of the 7,762 people surveyed plan to celebrate Independence Day, down from 86 percent in 2019. Just 24% say they plan to celebrate the Fourth of July by attending a community celebration, compared with 41% last year.
Those who do have plans expect to spend more than $76 on average, and more than half of consumers are planning a cookout or barbecue.
Here’s a few Kansas City area restaurants offering specials to-go, along with their regular menus. We will be updating the list. Please send in the following format to Daniel Zeilstra at dzeilstra@kcstar.com under the subject “Independence Day specials.”
