Chick-fil-A wants to open another Overland Park location.

It is going through city planning for a new 4,995-square-foot drive-thru restaurant in the 95Metcalf development (the former Metcalf South Shopping Center) at 95th and Metcalf Avenue.

95 Metcalf officials referred questions on the project to Chick-fil-A.

In a statement, Chick-fil-A spokeswoman Caroline Taylor, said: “We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving customers great food in a welcoming environment. While we hope to serve the Overland Park community in the future, we do not currently have any locations to confirm.”

The center is anchored by a Lowe’s home improvement store. It also has an Andy’s Frozen Custard.

LongHorn Steakhouse plans a new restaurant on the south end of the project at 9551 Metcalf.
