Irish pub Brady’s Public House will not reopen on Troost; owners look for new location
Brady’s Public House will not be reopening on Troost.
Ray Dunlea and his business partner and chef Shaun Brady said the lease was up at the end of March. They were in negotiations to renew, but the building, at 5424 Troost, needed some repairs and the rent was going to increase. With the shelter-in-place order during the pandemic shutting them down temporarily, they regrouped.
For now they will put some of the Irish pub’s top sellers on the menu at three sister restaurants, Conroy’s Public House in Leawood, Overland Park and Westwood.
Items will include the Scotch eggs, grilled salmon, pot pie and P.E.I. mussels. Conroy’s will still serve its core menu.
They also are looking at sites to relocate Brady’s.
