Bring the buffet home: Here’s a list of Easter family take-out in the Kansas City metro

Easter, one of the most family-centric holiday meals, will be remarkably different this year as COVID-19 fears keep restaurant dining rooms closed and social distancing measures in place.

So area restaurants are stepping up with a variety of family-style meals to-go — steaks, ham, prime rib, salmon, quiche and more. Some operations also are offering meats and side dishes that customers can finish at home.

Here’s a look at some of the specials:

▪ Andre’s Confiserie Suisse, south Plaza, Overland Park. Brunch for four to six people, $60 — quiche, coffee cake, salad and a bag of Easter chocolates.

▪ Bonefish Grill, Leawood, Northland: Easter Dinner Family Bundles serving up to five people for $49.90 (add a bottle of wine for $15). Includes wood-grilled Mahi Mahi and jumbo shrimp with citrus aioli and a choice of house or Caesar salad, bacon mac-and-cheese and seasonal vegetables, fresh bread with pesto and a dessert duo of cheesecake slices and cookies. Pre-order and pick up Saturday or Sunday.

▪ Bristol Seafood + Steak + Social, Leawood, Power & Light District: Family-style meal feeds four to six people. Includes choice of soup, salad, sides, entree and dessert. $135 for the glazed ham entree, $165 for the wood-fired grilled salmon. Orders must be placed by noon Saturday.

▪ The Capital Grille, Country Club Plaza. Easter family-style meal includes salad, French rolls, whole rack of bone-in filet, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes and freshly baked apple crostata. $95 for two people; $185 for four to six people. Pre-order starting noon Friday. It also has sides and steaks for finishing at home.

▪ Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Independence, Overland Park. Family meal serving four people for $49.99. Choice of chicken piccatta or Mahi Wulfe with bread, Caesar salad, Penne Pomodoro, sauteed broccoli and two desserts. Add New England lamb chops for $19.99. Available Friday through Monday.

▪ Chaz on the Plaza, the Raphael Hotel, Country Club Plaza area. Family Easter Brunch To-Go includes cinnamon rolls, deviled eggs, quiche, ham and chocolate covered strawberries. $25 per person, minimum two people. Pre-order by Friday for curbside pick-up from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Easter Sunday. Add a mimosa kit for $20 or a Bloody Mary kit for $32.

▪ Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Country Club Plaza area. Four-course Easter dinner serving two people for $110 and four to six people for $185. Includes appetizer, salad, herb-roasted tenderloin with au jus, sides and dessert. It also has its signature cuts for home-grilling and sides serving four to six people including crab fried rice, Maine lobster bisque and truffled mac-and-cheese.

▪ Hereford House (Independence, Leawood, Shawnee, Northland ): A prime rib roast dinner serving four to eight people for $159. Includes a 5-pound prime rib roast, house salad, dinner rolls, sides and carrot cake.

▪ The HoneyBaked Ham Co. (Independence, Lee’s Summit, Northland, Olathe, Overland Park): It is encouraging early shopping by offering $10 off coupons to customers picking up orders through Wednesday. Shipping orders also must be placed by Wednesday.

▪ Summit Grill (Gladstone, Lee’s Summit, Waldo): Prime rib meal serving four to eight people for $125. Includes prime rib, brown sugar-glazed ham, sides, dinner rolls, and gooey butter cake. Place orders by 3 p.m. Thursday. Pick up orders from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Its regular to-go menu will not be available on Sunday.

▪ Third Street Social, Lee’s Summit: A prime rib meal serving four to eight people for $125. Includes prime rib, brown sugar-glazed ham, sides, dinner rolls, and gooey butter cake. Place orders by 3 p.m. Thursday. Pick up orders from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Its regular to-go menu will not be available on Sunday.

Area shops also are offering special Easter candy:
