First retail tenants announced for $100 million Shawnee development opening in 2021
Shawnee’s new mixed-use center, Bellmont Promenade, has announced its first tenants.
Hobby Lobby, Five Below, PetCo and Dick’s Sporting Goods plan to open in the center, according to Legacy Development.
The $100-million-plus development is on 27 acres at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Maurer Road. It will have 165,000 square feet of retail space and 35,000 square feet of restaurants, along with 148 apartment units by JPL Development in St. Louis.
It is scheduled to begin construction in the spring and open in summer 2021.
