Updated game day deals: With Chiefs in Super Bowl, it’s time to eat, drink, be merry
The Kansas City Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years, and area restaurants and bars want to help customers celebrate.
So here are a few of the special game day offerings, including some running now through Super Bowl Sunday — and beyond if the Chiefs win.

▪ Andre’s Confiserie Suisse, south of the Country Club Plaza and in Overland Park. Chiefs-themed chocolates and pastries until game day. Items also can be pre-ordered.
▪ Bar Louie (Power & Light District and Zona Rosa): On game day, the locations will have $5 craft burgers, half-off bottles of wine, $3.50 14-ounce domestic draft beers, $5 Fireball shots and $5 Jameson shots.
▪ Barley’s Kitchen + Tap, Shawnee. $12 Bud Light buckets and $15 custom craft beer buckets (your choice of beer) on Sunday.
▪ Barley’s Kitchen + Tap, Overland Park. $5 smash burgers with fries, $3 can beers and $2.50 yard beers on Sunday. There will also be raffle giveaways every time the Chiefs score.
▪ Best Regards Bakery & Cafe, Overland Park. ArrowBread (arrowhead-shaped focaccia bread for $7.20 in honor of 1972 and Lamar Hunt).
That “was the year that Lamar Hunt was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame and the year that Arrowhead was opened,” said Robert Duensing, co-owner of Best Regards.
Best Regards also is selling a red and gold “The Chiefs are King Cake,” and Porchetta Party Packs. The packs have an 8x9 inch ciabatta “arrowhead” bun, slow-roasted pork belly (seasoned with a dozen herbs and spices), a half-pint of house-made pickles and special sauce to serve four to six people for $50.
Customers can order the party packs on Best Regards’ website by Jan. 29 for pick-up on Saturday or Super Bowl Sunday.
▪ Bibibop Asian Grill, Overland Park and Waldo. If the Chiefs win, the three area locations will offer free bowls on Feb. 9, while supplies last. No purchase will be necessary.
▪ Blaze Pizza (Liberty, Olathe). Several game day specials, including the “Hot Party” with two large 2-topping pizzas, and six Dough Knots for $32.95.
Blue Moose Bar & Grill (Lenexa, Red Bridge, Prairie Village). “Party Like It’s 1969!” watch parties with brunch buffets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; game time buffets from 3 p.m. until the game is over; $2 Bud Light, Miller Lite and Michelob Ultra bottles; and a best-dressed 1969 Chiefs outfit (one winner at each location will receive a $100 gift card).
▪ BRGR Kitchen + Bar (Leawood, Power & Light District and Prairie Village). If the Chiefs win, customers will get a free S&P Burger if they dine-in from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 3 — first come, first serve basis.
▪ Buffalo Wild Wings (with about a dozen restaurants in the metro and Lawrence). It will give away free wings if the game goes into overtime.
▪ Cicis Pizza (Liberty, Mission). The locations will run a Super Bowl Sunday special with three large one-topping pizzas for $15 and customers can add cheesy bread or dessert for $4.
▪Em Chamas Brazilian Grill, the Northland. Rodizio brunch from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., $24.95 per adult, $12 for children ages 6 to 12, $5 for children ages 5 and under (regular prices are $36.95 per adult, $13.95 for children ages 6 to 10, and $5 for children ages 5 and under).
▪ 54th Street Grill & Bar (Blue Springs, Grandview, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Olathe, the Northland). Playing off the 54 in their name, the locations will offer $5.40 Gringo Dip & Chips, $5.40 top shelf Long Island Iced Teas, and $5.40 margaritas, after 4 p.m. Sunday.
▪ Flapjacks ’n More, Overland Park. Email the restaurant at flapjackspromo@gmail for a “buy any entree and a drink, receive the second entree of equal or lesser value for 50 percent off” coupon good through Sunday.
▪ Fox and Pearl, 2143 Summit St. Party Packages with smoked pork butt, barbecue beans, house pickles, Kansas white beans and slider buns ($110 for 4 to 6 servings, $200 for 8 to 10 servings). Orders must be placed by 7 p.m. Thursday for pick up 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
▪ Hereford House (Independence, Leawood, Shawnee, Zona Rosa). 12-ounce prime rib with choice of side for $19.69 (regularly $32) through Saturday.
.▪ HopCat, Westport. Game day carry-out packages include options for 100 wings, spinach dip and mac-and-cheese serving up to 10 guests. Customers can order online starting the week of Jan. 27 through Feb. 1 to pick up Sunday.
▪ Houlihan’s (Leawood, Lee’s Summit, Overland Park). Food and drink specials through Sunday, including $5 cocktails such as Rudd’s Red Bloody Mary and $5 “Let Mahomes Make the Cauliflower” appetizer.
If your name is Andy, Travis, Patrick, Tyreek or Tyrann (verified through your driver’s license), you will get a free appetizer on its KC Menu when you buy one.
Other Houlihan’s Game Day specials include free delivery on all orders placed through houlihans.com. Online ordering will stop at 5 p.m. and the locations plan to close around 6 p.m.
▪ Imo’s Pizza, Overland Park. Two specials from Friday to Sunday. The “Big Red” special is two large two-topping pizzas and 20 Provel Bites for $35.24. The “Four for 54” special is four medium three-topping pizzas half-baked to finish at home for $54. The location will close at 5:30 p.m. game day.
▪ Kona Grill, Country Club Plaza. All-day happy hour and a “Tailgate Special” — 12 appetizers for $99.
▪ McAlister’s Deli (Grandview, Independence, Lawrence, Lee’s Summit, Liberty and Shawnee). Get $15 off catering orders of $100 or more for Super Bowl Sunday.
▪ Pearl Tavern, Lee’s Summit. Happy hour specials from 3 p.m. until close in the bar on Feb. 2.
▪ Pierpont’s at Union Station. Super Burger with fries and #15 sauce for $9 (regularly $11), plus $2 off all drafts and bottled beer through Sunday, in the lounge only.
▪ Plowboys Barbeque, (Blue Springs, downtown, Overland Park). $2 off on BBQ Nachos Saturday and Sunday.
▪ Q39 (midtown and Overland Park) has partnered with wide receiver Demarcus Robinson (aka Honey Thunder). Q39 will donate proceeds from every “Honey Thunder” sangria sold through Feb. 2 to Children’s Mercy.

▪ Rock & Brews, Overland Park’s Prairiefire. Touchdown Menu — seven items for $7 including jalapeno poppers, cheeseburger and fries, single-topping pizza and pitchers of beer from 11 a.m. to close on game day.
▪ Slim Chickens. (Independence, Lawrence, Lenexa, Liberty Mission, Overland Park). Tender Mac Super Bowl, featuring its mac-and-cheese three-cheese blend of cheddar, Colby and aged Parmesan topped with hand-breaded chicken tenders for 5 to 7 people, now through the Super Bowl.

▪ Stock Hill, south Plaza. “Tomahawk Thursdays” special on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30 for two people — choice of two salads or crab bisque, 36-ounce Prime Tomahawk steak and a side to share, and a choice of two desserts for $100.
▪ Summit Grill (Gladstone, Lee’s Summit and Waldo). Happy hour specials from 3 p.m. until close in the bar on Feb. 2.
▪ Third Street Social, Lee’s Summit. Happy hour specials from 3 p.m. until close in the bar on Feb. 2.
▪ T-Loft (Country Club Plaza, south Kansas City, Leawood and Lawrence). It is offering a limited edition smoothie called Red Pride with raspberries, strawberries, apple and banana.
▪ Tom’s Town Distilling Co., Crossroads. It has $5 Magronis until game day. The Magroni is a traditional Negroni made with Tom’s Town Botanical Gin.
▪ Twin Peaks (Independence and Olathe). The first 100 customers on Sunday, Feb. 2, will enter a betting chart with a chance to win $25, $50, $75 and $100 Twin Peak gift cards (increasing each quarter). Customers must be present to claim the prizes.
All Super Bowl day customers can order from a special Super Bowl menu, which includes Thai ribs, pork rinds and wings. They also will receive a bounce-back ticket (to use on another visit) for free pork rinds.
▪ Waldo Pizza, Waldo. 15% off all pre-orders for the big game. Order by 5 p.m. Saturday, pick up by 4 p.m. on Sunday.
▪ Westport Flea Market, Westport. It wants to party like it’s 1969 (the last time the Chiefs won the Super Bowl), so it has a $1.69 burger special until the Super Bowl. It normally costs $7.99.
